Prince Charles views for the future of architecture |
The life-long interest in the importance of an approach to design and architecture of His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is well known. He has written a 2,000 word article for The Architectural Review (AR).
The Prince addresses his primary concern about finding a sustainable solution to issues of urban development and global population growth.
The Prince argues that architects need to reconnect with a deeper and more resonant sense of tradition. He argues that this has shaped lives, landscapes and communities over centuries. He also believes that Nature has much to teach us through its patterns and processes, and that we ignore its lessons at our peril.
